How to choose the right truck

truck

Before you buy a truck, first of all you should think about its necessity: if you are an entrepreneur, is it worth expanding your fleet, but if you are an ordinary driver, then you should decide on its capacity and cubic capacity. The truck is not a toy, from its purchase to its maintenance. The market of trucks is diverse enough and everyone can pick up a suitable model.

The choice of the automobile directly depends on several aspects of its use:

  • dimensions of transported goods;
  • necessary tonnage;
  • range and duration of routes;
  • frequency of use of the vehicle;
  • the specifics of the transported goods.

Based on these parameters, you should select a truck.

Let’s start with the payload of the truck – it ranges from 1 to 40 tons. Basically, the payload, tonnage, volume and size of the body directly depend on the type of truck and its size.

Next, let’s move on to the specifics of the routes. Here you have to choose between the small truck and the big truck. Choosing a truck not the size, you run the risk of overpaying for extra liters consumed by a large car or make several trips in connection with the small dimensions of the body of the car. Therefore, you should determine the cubic capacity of the truck (internal volume) – it generally ranges from 9 to 120 m3.

In addition, a great addition to your truck will be the installation of fuel consumption control system MapOn. It is perfect for fleet owners, as well as for ordinary drivers. With its help you can control your fuel consumption. Also an excellent protection from theft or just a way to control your fleet would be to install a satellite vehicle tracking system in your car.

It is important to decide what type of body suits you – it can be a regular or tent van, or a refrigerator, it all depends on the type of cargo being transported.
